18 October, 2023 - Maya will present 'DEAR TUI, a Warning' in a Book Showcase event by the New Zealand Society of Authors, Wellington 

The NZSA Wellington Book Showcase will be held at Unity Books, Wellington, 6:00 pm.

24-25 February, 2024 - Speaker at the Australian Animal Rights Forum

Maya will be a guest speaker at the Australian Animal Rights Forum 2024, which will take place in Melbourne https://animalrightsforum.org

Her presentation will be titled, '‘Animal Rights Activism: How I use my passion for writing to create a better future for
the animals (and humans!) And what you can learn from it’
